In Theory… Launch postponed. In 4K.

Hello dear people!

With only two days away from our intended release we have to uphold traditions and push back the date.

Why the delay? Completing a project of this magnitude is a rather large undertaking for two people. And we suck at giving estimates. With all the heart and mind that we’ve put into this, stumbling out the door (which is an overstatement) at this point would be rather stupid. We want to get the game out to you asap but we also release it properly or we will regret it later.

Why didn’t we notify about the delay sooner? For the past months we’ve been knee deep in finalizing the game. Up until recently we were still on track but dropping tasks related to the release. It was but a few days ago that we took our heads out of the development sand and had to make the hard call.

What now? We’re going to take a couple of days to regroup and formulate the final steps.

We’re truly sorry for the delay and hope these raw untouched 4K screenshots of the finalized nature alleviate some of the pain. :)

Alpo & Mikko

Keep up the good work! Make it possible, release it when you want and in a state that makes you proud! We will buy it anyway. :D

What are the system requirements going to be? I ran the early demo on my 970 and it lagged quite a lot.

I paid you guys to make a cool game, not to follow a schedule. Take your time and release it when it’s ready. Happy holidays!

I definitely don’t mind a delay, especially if it’s for the good of the game. Just don’t cancel on me, guys.

Looking so fine! Please dont take too long with the VR version, I promised myself when I backed the kickstarter that I would only play it that way []-D

Just use the time you need :) Happy to wait, better late than never. Seems you are going to release, and am happy to wait for my game, and wish it rather be good and brilliant, than have a buggy release and forget support, as too many other kickstarter/indiegogo fundings have done. Beautiful screenshots. Just waiting to awe my jaw at game, when you are ready :)

Yup, original indiegogo founder here, and happy to see, you are on last run :) Keep up with good work :)

Hey, take as much time as you guys need to make it great. We’ve waited this long; we can surely wait a bit longer if it means a better game.

Only negative aspect about the screenshots that I see is what looks like dithering (or some other form of artifacting) on the grounds in the first and fourth screenshots. WITH THAT SAID, I’m beyond impressed at the grass in the third picture. Seriously, that looks freaking incredible.

Take your time, make the game you want to make. As long as you keep us updated you will have no complain. (Ps: the screen grab look insane!!!)

Any plans for a PS4 version once the game’s released on Steam ?

Agree with the above, take your time and make the game awesome.

Would also like to echo requests for PC system requirements and also a PS4 version.

Take a break, get your heads on straight, then see what’s left to do.

It’s important to get the game out, for cashflow and getting your lives back as much as anything else, but it doesn’t have to be this week, or even next (although it would be sad if it was still unfinished by Christmas 2017). As others have said, the game matters more than the schedule (I would add that people matter more than games).

    Have a great Christmas break.

Any chance you’d release an updated demo to backers in the meantime? That is, if it doesn’t take away time from active development… maybe alpha/beta release?

To any White Knights on the post, please don’t pile on here… it’s just a question, not a demand. :)

Thanks for your honesty and hard work. Really respect how big a commitment and journey it is you’ve undertaken.

Take your time guys. As a backer of the project I’d be much happier to play something that’s polished and lives up to the vision rather than something that rushed out just to get people something to play.
Making games takes a hell of a lot of time and making a game this ambitious with just 2 people as well is pretty crazy and impressive.

I’m sad I have to wait longer, I was really looking forward to this. But I would rather be sad, then be upset in getting an incomplete game. If it take a little longer to finish, then it takes a little longer. Please give us another target date (even if that gets pushed back too).

Also, What is your advertising for this game? I stumbled across this a year or so ago, but if I hadn’t, I don’t think I would have ever known about this game. I hope you can get on Steam or something so you can get more exposure. It seemed to work great for the Factorio guys.

I’m an early backer and like others have said, take your time and make sure the game meets your standards before release. A premature release will only damage the reputation and success of both your company and the game itself. It’s a tough industry to succeed in so you need to be confident in what you put out there.

Just keep us in the loop and let us know what’s going on as soon as you’ve got a revised schedule figured out.

Take care and have a good Christmas :)

Big question here, will there be proper support for multi GPU configurations? If not at launch, will it have it later?

  2. Where can I check videos if available?? Art looks great.

If it’s as good as it seems, it’s well worth the wait. Better to get finished product rather than infinite payed beta. For infinite payed betas there’s always ubi to cover our needs.
