Funders ahoy! Check your emails. Everyone else, there is nothing to see here. Please step back, there is nothing to see here.
I’m so stoked for this. I wish I’d had the money at the time to help fund it. You better believe I’ll be first in line to get it when it’s released
Hey, cool man, warms the heart!
Can I play the demo, If I registered just some minutes ago?
Hey, try asking a Indiegogo funder for the demo, the power of demo distribution has been handed to them.
Hi, I’m one of the indiegogo campaign backers. I changed ISP a few months ago, and updated my email address on indiegogo to my new address. I’m worried because I haven’t received an email from you, and you might be using my old address. What should I do?
Hey John, send your new contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get it sorted.
wow, nice atmosphere. keep up good work!
Thanks! Only going to get better from this point.
;_; will it be released to the public much later?
Hey, try asking a backer. The power of demo distribution has been given to the Indiegogo funders.
The game will not start up, staff. I open it and it takes me to the Theory Interactive loading screen and freezes and I have to force it to shut down.
same here unfortunately
Hey Daniel, we’re looking into the non-startup errors. The game takes a fair time to load and there is no progress indicator so could it just be a case of patience? If not then head on over to the forums reset-game.net/forum and post your case there, we’re collecting the error reports from there.
For me it took something like 5 minutes or so to start up at first and because of that I thought it froze, but fortunately it didn’t. So I think that some kind of progress indicator would indeed be really helpful.
Hey, (There is no staff there is only two guys, me and Mikko Kallinen working on the game/pr, so apologies for the delayed answer) The game takes a fair time to load so it might just be a case of waiting. If not then head on over to the forums reset-game.net/forum and post your case so we can find a cure. We’re collecting the error reports from there.
It works! And it even boots into the DK2 in direct mode :O Though, it only utilizes 30% of my GPU and not much of my CPU. Is there something to unlock to make it use more and run smoother? O.o I have a GTX 970 on Win 7 64bit.
I solved one puzzle with a little help from my brother, will hit the second one tomorrow Atmosphere is great, and mechanic interesting for sure, takes my brain some time to realize what is possible
Cool that you got it running! The demo doesn’t have a magic bullet to unlock the performance unfortunately. The tech is starting to be feature complete so now we’re starting on the optimizing work to get it running smoothly again and bringing back some of the quality that we’ve had to drop for the demo.
Also nice to get feedback on the gameplay side, hopefully wasn’t too head aching
Hi Guys! I have checked your website every day for the past four months since I read about this game. For those of us who missed out on the campaign, is there any we can pre-order or back the game now? I really want to get my hands on it asap
Hey, try asking a backer, the power of demo distribution has been handed to the indigogo funders.
WOW I NEEED PLAY THIS DEMO!!!
Have you guys ever thought there could be some people who want to play the game om higher than seizure-giving 30 fps?
Hey, the game won’t have a 30 fps lock, it’s just a minimum we’re targeting for the final game. The fps will depend on your machine setup.
I’m sorry but I have to call it bullshit. Granted, my Core i7 3770K @ 3.6Ghz/GTX670/16GB RAM is outdated by 3 years but even on LOWEST settings I receive 30 FPS max and only when I look at the sky it somewhat jumps to unstable 40.
Not even mentioning that even on maximum settings the GFX is NOWHERE close to what we saw in “gameplay” trailers so far.
The engine also seems to be does not support Triple bUfferization at all.
I mean, after all this talk in your blog about how awesome your engine is – all I see is utter disappointment and false promises. And I’ve seen raw alphas that perform better on par with similar visuals.
I’m sorry you feel disappointed. The demo is very demanding on the machine as we’re just beginning to do optimization work. The performance of the demo does not reflect final quality of the final game.
I’m perfectly aware this is “beta demo” and it has issue. What it does not have is the potential i could see. And this is the bigger problem than all its issues.
Right now I treat it as another version of Unity. Rather bad comparison.
Will you write more “in praxis” posts? I really enjoyed reading them.
Hopefully we’ll have some time now to write more tech stuff.
Is there really no way to still back this if you missed the campaign back in 2013? Come on guys, take my money!
hey im brazilian and i want to play this game
hey i brazilian and i want to play this game
Hi! I was 3 days late for the backing, and just reading comments now (didn’t realize to look through them when the post was released last month!) and was wondering how backers distribute the demo. If it’s something I need to pay for, and if there’s a backer out there that can help me out, just reply
I don’t mean to ask for your copy, I’m not exactly sure how the backing distribution works, but if anyone out there has a copy, that’s what I’m assuming it means when people are replied it “Hey, try asking a backer, the power of demo distribution has been handed to the indigogo funders. :)”
With best regards and intentions,
Haven’t played the demo as I refuse to load the sketchy toolbar the one public download requires.
But I wanted to say it looks good in videos, even if a bit light on playable content for this build. I hope you all devote some time to “clutter” as the demo felt incredibly sterile. The teaser had a great rushed abandonment vibe that just fell flat in the demo once you could poke around.
Hope it all goes smoothly.
Sadly I cannot say this would be a beta version since there are alot of workings that still need to go through. At the cranes to make them allign with each other it’s terrible to get on the first platform due to sliding OR one building tall jump xD (yeah I jumped a couple of feet because of some awkward collision issue that might’ve happened). The game is laggish even on low, I’m running it on a GTX970 with a FX 8350 and 16 GB of ram…hence Beta is a little bit far to be called…this would mostly be an Alpha. The atmosphere is great and the use of NVidia’s WaterWorks is really nice…but again…A true BETA would still need to have a much more optimised version released.
Just play the demo, visually impressive!!
I’m very couriers about the hdr technique in the demo, could you please tell us something about that? It looks so realistic. ^_^
In Theory… Fan art!!!!
In Theory… Progress.
